RCCS Youth Group AGM 2012

Posted: 23rd November 2012 by President in General Anouncements

For those of you who miss the 2012 RCCS Youth Group Annual General Meeting (AGM), you have missed one of our most exciting events of this year. I would like to compare our AGM to the Oscar Academy Awards. Big blockbuster movies who usually get nominated 5 or 6 times don’t usually win any major prizes (if any), but is it still fun watching them try (and fail).

For those of you who hasn’t figure it out already, Nicholas Lee has crush all opposition and has been re-elected as the President of RCCS Youth Group.  Besides the fact the Nicholas has made one of most moving and inspirational election speech in this year’s debate. The other two candidates have also strangely expressed their fondness and support of Nicholas as president in their own election speeches to help Nicholas (not that he needed any) clench his third year presidency. Some believes that there are some foul play involved, while others believes that it is some sort of clever ploy that the other candidates try to use Nicholas popularity to gain more votes or set themselves up for next year election.  Whatever the case maybe, I don’t think we will ever know the truth behind their decisions.

I would also like to congratulate our new cabinet members Vice President Melissa Ng, Secretary Christy Liu, and Treasurer Stanley Li.
We now fast forward to a few days later at this year’s RCCS AGM & Volunteer Appreciation Dinner and Dance (Not to be confuse with the Youth Group AGM). Every year RCCS treats their volunteers to a dinner and dance to show their appreciation.  This year wasn’t any different, we got ourselves a table of our own and eat then dance the night away. When I said dance I really meant dancing. For those of you who didn’t know, our President Nicholas is good not only at speeches but he also has some killer dance moves (that could of have killed disco) and we have video proof of that if anyone is interested.

Quick reminder: We have our Christmas party coming soon (as the exams are over).  A facebook event will be up as soon as we can lock the date down. Thanks Melissa!
