ACCP Christmas Buffet Luncheon

On Saturday Dec 3, 2011 RCCS Youth President Nicholas Lee and RCCS Youth board member Kin Ming Li, along with members from the RCCS parent group attended the Association of Chinese Canadian Professionals (ACCP) Christmas Buffet Luncheon.

Through this event, the RCCS Youth group has reached out to professionals from ACCP, Civic Education Society (CES), Tapestry Foundation for Health Care, and members from S.U.C.C.E.S.S. who attended. We are able to learn from the experiences of others and also promote our youth group. We will explore more opportunities and work towards meaningful and interesting programs and events for our members. Perhaps in future, we will collaborate with one of the groups we met and have a good time together! Stay tuned!

RCCS Youth Video Contest “youth contribution to the community” is nearing its final chapter. Thank you for all the submissions. There were many awesome videos but we can only award a few. In any case, the real winners are the communities we all live in. By spreading these messages to youths all around us, we can build a stronger society.

Skate and Hockey Event This Friday!

Is this summer getting too hot for you? Do you want to enjoy some ice cold activities in the midst of a hot summer? RCCS Youth group has just the event for you!

On August 5th, 2011 we have the RCCS Youth Skate and Hockey. Details are shown below. It will be held at Sunset ice rink in Vancouver. The ice will be for skating and some “stick and puck” hockey. Skill level doesn’t matter, just come have some fun!

Costs
$5 for RCCS Youth members
$7 for non-members

Other Important Info
* There will be NO SKATE RENTALS.
* Hockey sticks and pucks are NOT provided. Please bring your own.
* To ensure enough ice for everyone, this event will be limited to 20 participants. First come first serve!
